  This is definitely the definitve way to watch this trilogy. The 4K upgrade makes for such a beautiful picture. My only problems with this purchase are that the second disc of Return of the King extended froze and skipped for two separate 10 second segments in the movie, and that the case itself for the discs is poorly made. Upon arrival there were broken chunks of plastic inside and the part that holds the 9 discs together had come apart so the movies were floating around loosely in the case. Great modern upgrade to a masterpiece however so I highly recommend.
