    I bought this filter for my kitchen since, so I wouldn't have to have a countertop "jug style" water filter anymore.

    The install was straight forward (make sure you watch for which hose/side is the inlet and outlet when clicking them into place) and took about 15 mins, including me putting the hoses on the wrong side the first time.

    I used the filter for just under a year, but then started getting a very loud "whining" or "humming" noise from the unit. I thought perhaps that I had just used more water than normal in the time I had it and had used up the filter, so I bought a replacement filter.

    The noise persisted though, so I called customer service, which is where my experience went from "this is a good product" to "this company treated me really well and I am now a repeat customer who will tell others about them".

    The tech on the phone ran me through a few troubleshooting steps and then when we had completed those said that occasionally there will be a blockage of some sort in the head unit and that replacing it would likely solve the issue. They then offered to send me an entirely new unit, including a new filter, for me to replace.

    I performed the replacement in less time than the original install and the noise has not returned since. The tech followed up via email a few times to ensure that everything had gone well and at the end of it all offered me a further replacement filter since I had quite probably thrown out my original filter well before it was actually used up.

    I already bought a second unit for my office and will recommend Waterdrop whenever I can in the future.
