Customer Review

My comments are about assembly and features, the table operates as expected. I gave it 3 stars because of the the way parts are bagged. Eliminating that parts issue, I give it 4 for the manual, 4.5 for physical assembly difficulty

Validating you got all the parts before assembly: The manual comes with parts listed by assembly activity, unfortunately the parts are not assembled into separate bags to reflect this. Having installed both the telecommunications and data equipment for decades I can say I have never experience such a poor parts verification process. Most companies put similar parts into a common, well labeled 0.005 cent bag. Some manufactures actually color code the parts with a dot of paint. Really BOSCH are plastic bags the tipping point for profit here?

To verify the parts I found the easiest way was to manually total up the similar items, separate them from the bag of parts, them place them in my own individually labeled parts bags. Watch out because some bolts are per-assembled onto the plastic knobs located in a different bag, but not all knobs have their bolts attached. If you don't know your bolts then the manual has roughly dimensional images to help BOSCH, I cannot stress this more, a separate bag or color for each part type would help eliminate any errors and minimize customer frustration/returns.

If you are like me, you may find 4 mystery bolts and nuts that seem to be above the extra ones provided for the various listed routers. After reviewing the manual several times I have no idea why I have them, maybe for a router not listed? Speaking of routers, my Rigid bolt pattern was B . BOSCH I would never of ordered this in if another reviewer had not provided this information. How hard is it to assemble a list of router bolt patterns and any issue workarounds on a URL link? I am sure you could gather this information during product registrations. My one small issue with my Rigid router installation was due to the handle extending past the mounting plate edge which marginally blocked insertion into the table. The solution was loosen off bolts enough for plate to enter with router tilted. Once tightened up there was plenty of clearance between handle and table bottom. To remove I will have to loosen, but that is no big deal.

BOSCH there should be a secure holder for the allen wrench maybe in the center of the cord wrap insert. Since the router bolts and plate leveling bolts need addressing after time. It would be better if these bolts all use the same allen wrench.

When installing the power bars nuts e/w lock washers watch out, the manual notes that these bolts are put on backwards (lock washer is not used). BOSCH BOLD that item in the manual.

Disappointing features: The unit supplies a cord wrap which I expected would include a slot so the supplied power bar cord could egress directly into the holder. Instead the cord must come out the back and wrap around the leg to utilize this holder. Not a big deal, but not as clean as direct access with less risk for cord damage. No slot/clips provided to store the shims when not in use. Maybe under table on one leg could be used. The removable parts compartment section needs to be a full box with a snap lid. It is too removable making it an unreliable holder, ideal for collecting dust and pretty much nothing else.

Once warranty is done I hope to be doing some drilling and new additions to address these issues.
