- Reviewed in Canada on April 3, 2025I have been hesitant to toss my Kobo Libra Color in a bag with other items as with a screen of that size there's a pretty high risk that something will scratch it at some point. I was a bit hesitant to put a screen protector on because I didn't want to change the reading experience from brightness, glare, or by having text distorted. Also I was concerned with the sensitivity of the stylus input (I have the official Kobo stylus). With this film everything looked and felt exactly the same to me as without it, so I'm quite impressed by that.
The installation was easy, I thought it would be more difficult given the amount of surface area to get dust off, but it went on perfectly, bubble free and right in the center. There is the tiniest of space on the edge but I feel that if it were too big it may introduce bubbles or be hard to install so I think it's a good thing here and the main part of the screen is protected. I do like the included hinge stickers with the installation kit so you can line it up before removing the back film (marked number 1) and once you have it perfectly centered and all dust removed slowly and carefully remove the 1 film without kicking up dust and put it on the screen. I like to start from roughly the center instead of an edge with a slight bend in it so it starts to stick to the screen in all directions at once and it worked perfectly.
The kit includes 3 of everything consumable, but the smoother which you can keep to reuse. My only one issue was that the cleaning pad was bone dry. A couple of drops of water and ring out the excess took care of that though.
