  These rigid skewers held the food firmly and allowed the food to slide off when cooked. the flat blade sat in the the v notch allowing 90 turns of the chicken being cooked. Its great not to have the chicken stick the BBQ grill.
  The two stands are nicely heavy and worked on my small grill, i used a small cast iron griddle to keep the stands in place so they could not move when turning food over a very hot grill. I would buy these again as gift for friend
