This is a cool idea, but it didn鈥檛 work well for me. First of all, it doesn鈥檛 work well with stretchy fabrics and it doesn鈥檛 work at all if you are going to be doing a pants hem because gets stuck about an inch away from the end due to the circular nature of what you鈥檙e sewing. I think it might work OK on basic cotton and in a straight line, not for pants hemming or any of that sort of thing where you go in a circle. Ended up working after I experimented a bit but looked pretty bad and it didn鈥檛 actually fold the material over well to make the double folded hem like it was supposed to. It just sort of sometimes did it and sometimes it just had a single fold so that the raw edges of the fabric was showing. What I ended up with was a very narrow hem that sometimes was double folded, and sometimes just a single layer. It鈥檚 struggled a lot with stretchy fabric. I鈥檓 not the best of seamstresses so take this as you want. If you are not an experienced seamstress, then you may struggle like I did, especially since no instructions were included. I was able to sort of guess where on my machine it went because I didn鈥檛 have a screw like they show in the photos. I ended up taping it on with packing tape and that worked well. But I needed to figure out exactly where to place it. I followed the photos in the ad for that. I wish they had included some tips and instructions with the kit because they leave you on your own to guess and figure everything out by yourself.
