- Reviewed in Canada on October 29, 2020To my memory, this is the first time I have written a review on 鶹, but this fountain is truly amazing. The effect of the lighting on the wall behind the fountain was totally unexpected and beautiful. When the unit is functioning properly it is so quiet that the motor noise is barely perceptible. That said, the first unit I purchased got noisy after a couple of days and I couldn't fix it. I did all the cleaning methods recommended on here and in the instructions and I got help from amazon to troubleshoot the issue but it wouldn't resolve. Maybe some of the units are just duds I am guessing. But now that I have one that works properly, I am very very impressed. Love this thing. It's pretty much the ideal little fountain. No cheezy little scenes, just a simple design, sound and visual appearance that is so chill. Love it.
I can't speak to the longevity of it, but I'm hoping it lasts a long time. I would give five stars but because I got the dud unit, I can't. The inner motor seems to work with some kind of electromagnet or something near as I can tell. I notice that how I turn on the unit--slowly or quickly, can effect a change in the sound of the motor. I suspect it's some kind of electrical-magnetic issue that causes the noise in some units. But I'm just guessing.
