  Installed this above my new workbench, worked perfec as I have limited power plug access, and the LED lights are ideal for lighting up the work area when working on projects. Never thought too much about the USB charging outlets when I purchased, however have found it quite handy to plug my old ipad in, to use for when you need to look something up on You tube, or connecting to play music in the garage.
