  Such a great gadget. I love having a really nice smelling home and this works well at doing this. You insert the batteries at the bottom section. Then once you place the cap back on you simply move the skidder on the side to the strength desired. I usually leave it on low and it smells just right. It works on an 8 hour cycle which is perfect...no need for it to be running while you're away. Love these!
