  Bought this printer because it claimed that the ink would last much longer than many similar printers, based on # pages printed. The cost of this printer was much higher, but justified that by the longevity of the ink and cost avoidance of replacing cartridges.
  The printer has now run out of ink, after printing 25% of the # of pages it claims it should print, with the majority of printing being b&w. The printer refuses to print b&w if one of the colour cartridges is empty, rendering it unusable every time a cartridge runs out.
  When you are able to print something the quality is average at best. Would not recommend.
