  Prior to finding this little gem, my wife and I shared audio on flights using my wired noise cancelling headphones and her old wired ear buds. This device lets her use her wireless Bluetooth Apple AirPods. Everyone is happy! If I decide to go wireless down the road, this device allows 2 Bluetooth devices to pair with it at the same time.
  
  I haven't tried it in receiver mode yet but I could plug it into the AUX car in my vehicle and pair it to my iPhone to play music or podcasts.
  
  We have not used it enough to properly rate it for battery life but if it gets anywhere near the quoted 8 hours in TX mode that should be lots for most flights. USB charging while in use should give it an almost unlimited range.
