I currently own the breville dose control grinder paired with the cafe roma espresso machine. First i will agree with others that this grinder doesn't get the full 5 stars as the hopper sometimes doesnt push out the coffee and it ends up coming out clumpy. To fix this I just try to clean the machine often.
Using this grinder with the cafe roma machine is amazing. I have had both machines for about 4 months now, and when you get everything dialed in the result is beautiful. The grinder compliments the breville espresso machine very nicely, it takes up almost no counter space and it looks amazing beside the other machine.

As far as the cafe roma machine goes, if you are an espresso lover and you want to save some money making drinks at home, DON'T LET SOMEONE TELL YOU ITS A CRAP MACHINE!!! it just takes practice and a few very very small adjustments.
    1. grind you espresso between 15-20 on the dose control, i find this is a good grind for the roma.
    2. be careful not to over pack your coffee, i do this less and less now, but you can very easily choke out the machine if you press it all too hard.
    3. let your machine get all the way heated, do your espresso pull first, others may disagree, but i think if you pull your shot and let it sit for a minute under the portafilter you can get perfect milk and avoid losing that perfect texture.
    4. get the water out of your steam wand, purge the wand twice. turn on the steam, put a cloth in front of the wand and get the loose water soaked up. this will help keep your milk perfect and get nice dry steam.
    5. take off the "froth enhancer barrel" this thing gives me nothing but issues. i find it is the most inconsistent piece of the machine. sometimes it works perfect, other times i end up with giant bubbles in the milk like someone stuck a straw in there.
    6. texture your milk in three stages, start in the middle of the just to start adding air and heat, when the milk gets warm move the wand to the bottom of the Vee. then once your milk is stretched nicely, get that milk swilrling with the wand about an inch to the left or right of the vee.

bam perfect lattes, without a 1000$ setup.
