  This remote control excavator was more fun than it should be. It works indoors and outdoors. The controller is easy to use. The excavator comes with two rechargeable batteries so you won’t have to worry about buying replacements all the time.
  
  The bucket is real metal which was surprising for an RC of this type. The hood on the back is also metal and can be laid flat or lifted like a real hood. The tracks all function like the real thing and the remote works far better than I expected. What a surprisingly cool RC toy for Christmas.
  
  It can move forward, turn independently on one track or turn while moving forward. The scoop is a “loop” where it will move in a predetermined pattern, but it does scoop stuff really well. The remote has sounds and it even has a little light you can turn on and off.
  
  I thought this was going to be disappointing and it turned out to be a real winner. I now need to stop playing with it and let it go so I can give it to my kids for Christmas.
