To give a bit of context I am not very handy. I would rate this a solid 3 out 5 difficulty. The plan was to place the tiles directly over the existing tiles. However when I was cleaning the existing tiles one came out. So decided to remove the existing tiles. Advantage was that I could use the existing tiles as templates to cut out the new tiles. The disadvantage was that it could have uncovered underlying problems due to the age of the house. Thankfully it didn鈥檛 in my case.
Started from the centre as recommended (used pre-existing location) so did not measure out the centre as instructed. What helped was applying it like wallpaper to avoid getting glue on my hands, by pulling only the top, placing my hand on the left top corner to stabilize and then pulling off the remaining of the paper off and then pressing down. If you get glue on your hands you can use Lysol wipes to clean before applying the next tile. This will help clean up since the glue would leave a dark spot. I would definitely recommend this product and am already looking at other projects.
