  I am enjoying this saga of survival!
  I really like that the author does not feel the need to waste page after page reviewing the story so far or the characters’ back stories in excruciating detail in every book! Those of us who have followed from the beginning do not need that. She does give enough reminders within the context of the events for even a sporadic or first timer to be comfortable. Though I think few readers would knowingly start a novel series in the middle!
