  I picked up this stereo for a much older (2000s) GM vehicle that did not have a custom kit available and the upgrade turned out great. Installation was easy but I did have to buy a wiring harness and an installation kit to wire and install the stereo properly.
  
  The wiring harness simplified the wiring of the stereo but it also made sure that I did not lose my alert chimes (door, key in ignition, lights, etc.) - this made the installation much much cleaner and easier. The installation kit was needed as there is no hardware included with this stereo - you need the kit to actually mount the new radio.
  
  The stereo works well once installed properly, sound quality is the same as my OEM deck but I now have access to Android including the Android Auto, CarPlay, and a huge selection of apps.
  
  The only downside I see is that there is no AM radio tuner included with this stereo.... so no AM channels, just FM.
  
  Happy to recommend, this stereo works great in my winter beater and it's funny when peeps see how connected my old car is.
