  Used this to extend network to my shop 500 feet away and works perfect. I got these particular ones as it has the functionality of varying the transmit power as needed as opposed to some that just blast at full power. I believe this should help with how long the unit will last as it is usually at 50% output.
  No problems setting it up, just keep it simple and treat it like a long network cable. If you get into all the options in the ui without knowing a bit about networking you can fall into a hole pretty quick.
