  I use it with my turtle aquarium as most heaters have issues when you lay them horizontally and burn out. It works well and I haven't had any issues to date. it was easy to setup, but you should have a second thermometer handy to calibrate it, and even the calibration is easy to do. The instructions are not great and not really in the best order but I found the device intuitive to setup. The only thing I modified was the probe wire, as its quite light and keeps the packing folds in it after you uncoil it, by encasing the wire (just above the probe end) in plastic tubing to make it a bit more ridged to position in the tank and protected from bites. I'm satisfied with it and was a good deal for the price.
