  The new aesthetic design of the room sensor was the primary reason that I decided to replace my old ones but I've been pleasantly surprised by the many other improvements. The packaging was nice and the magnetic stand had a really satisfying "click" when I first set them up. The pairing process was straightforward using the app on my phone and a QR code on the battery tab. It paired seamlessly with my older ecobee3. I opened the sensor up and was astonished at the size of the battery – honestly, it’s huge! I really like the sleek contours of the new design as it has more of a premium feel compared to the previous model. By far, the biggest improvement was the wireless range: we’ve always struggled to get a comfortable temperature of the basement and now, finally, with the new sensor I can actually reach the basement. Completely awesome!
