- Reviewed in Canada on August 1, 2023I bought this adapter as it was specifically recommended to work with a third party coding programme with BMW cars. It connects well although reading the ECM was a bit slow depending on the size of data that needed to be accessed. Unfortunately I was unable to open the controls I was after as the car manufacturer has removed some of the options & features I was after. However the adapter also comes with its own diagnostic application that can be downloaded from both Apple & Android phones which is useful to identify engine problems. I have used it on 2 different car makes & models and each time it has provided accurate diagnostic data.
