  Depending on what game on the GBA, theres need to be a host, and the host gets the smaller end of the cable, and the larger end goes to the other console. For example in pokemon trade center, the host needs to initiate the connection first. I see people not understanding a simple concept. Also, if youve tried everything correctly and it still doesnt work, the port on your console might be dirty or damaged at some point in its life time. For me this cable worked flawlessly
