- Reviewed in Canada on June 16, 2024After around 6 months of use, the screen itself works okay. The set up was simple, and it worked with both an android and an iPhone; however, the experience with android auto was more 鈥榬ough鈥.
It had many instances where it wouldn鈥檛 connect, and it used to direct calls to the screen instead of hands free, which made calling difficult. It also would frequently disconnect and reconnect while used it, which was extremely annoying.
After I made a switch to iPhone, CarPlay seemed to have far less connectivity issues, and it worked better overall compared to android auto on this device. Occasionally it鈥檒l have some connectivity issues, but far less than on android.
The AirPlay function has never worked. I鈥檝e tried connecting to its wifi and Bluetooth, but it refuses to connect for some reason.
The mounting features are a bit iffy since I refuse to put holes in my dash for one option, and the bar isn鈥檛 long enough to go across my windshield
The listing also mentioned that it came with a backup camera, which I never received in the box. I was unhappy abt this bc it was supposed to be included with the price, which reduces my trust in the company itself
Overall, I鈥檇 say that there is no 鈥榲alue鈥 in this specific screen. It has worked through winter and summer now, but it鈥檚 definitely had its issues along the way. I鈥檇 say it鈥檚 worth looking into cheaper screen that are made identical from other companies, and potentially returning them before the deadline if they don鈥檛 work well
