  My Roommate had a stroke several years ago. Gradually he has been losing strength in the affected arm. I got this as Christmas Gift 🎁, as he purchased a manual can opener as ours broke. He couldn't get it to work no matter what he did. I felt bad for him as I had no problems with the opener. With this, His life has become a little easier. You don't think about these things until you need to. STARFRIT is a name that has been around forever, their products are usually good quality and at a fair price. This compact opener is powerful, yet compact. Small footprint, won't take up much counter space. Would recommend and will purchase again if the need arises.
