  I've bought three of these drives over the past few months. They are used and are discounted significantly. Performance is as expected, but unfortunately, one drive failed after the return period. Even with the failed drive, the total cost is less than half the price of comparable new drives.
  
  I use these drives in a RAID configuration, so when one failed, I just pulled it out and replaced it. No big deal, but I wouldn't trust these drives for sole storage.
  
  Still a 4-star rating for the excellent value.
