  Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. I installed it on my Ikea desk using the circular grommet. The grommet is sized just right for Ikea desks that come with pre-cut cable management holes. Note that, because of the design, you need to feed all of your cables through at the same time you're installing the main post. The two small holes/slats in the grommet are big enough for cables/wires, but not the plugs at the end; so you need to line everything up before you tighten it in place. (also remember to make sure they're lined up in the back and not the front if you want to hide them.) The only downside I'm having is that my unit is very, very, impossibly stiff. This hasn't come up in any other reviews, so I may have received a slightly defective one. When I try to adjust most of the joints it takes a lot of force to make them move. I assumed I could reduce the tension by adjusting the screws, but the Allen key that came with it felt like it was going to snap before the screw was going to loosen. I had to brace one of them with my foot to get it to move. Luckily I don't need to adjust things much.
