- Reviewed in Canada on June 27, 2023I recently purchased a headset with microphone from a well-known manufacturer - it sucks! I started reading reviews for other headsets and discovered this one. Based on the reviews, many people miss one of the most important features - INDEPENDENT controls for volume of the microphone and sound in the headphones. The switch for the mute is a nice feature - buttons can be tapped and when you think you are muted, you find the opposite - whereas this has a positive click - you know you are muted.
The on/off switch on the control module is a nice touch, I am NOT a gamer - I do extensive video conferencing - some for two or three hours at a stretch and often two or three times in a work day. I can state that the padding in the earphones is comfortable for extended use. Sound quality, for a lower-cost combo unit is excellent for voice - especially with the 7.1 Surround Sound capabilities that have been added. Music has some clipping (I listen to classical music) but is not normally noticeable by the average individual. I also watch movies and the noise-cancelling capabilities ensure that I do not get distracted by external sounds.
Excellent bang for the buck. Highly recommended.
