It is extremely heavy when you first get it as the cooling bags are quite heavy. You do get a carrying bag with this but once your seat cover is on, you probably won't need the carrying bag unless you want to store your cooling mats and the product. The seat extender, is hard and is one of my favourite favourite parts! Finally someone made one of these with the knowledge that dogs tend to stand up or lean forward. That has come in sooo handy. My dog no longer slips behind the seats, he just sort of stands still. When he is laying down, it also helps as it brings him closer to me and he can rest his head on the middle console. The fabric of this is as all are, nylon blend. I don't know how I would wash this, probably sponge wash as my others got torn to shreds in the washing machine, so this one I am not going to put in the washing machine. but probably hand wash and hose down. Cooling mats are a lifesaver on hot days. Overall one of my favourite products. Easy to snap on. Fit tighter around the head of my seat and better than others I've previously had so that was nice.
Seems durable. I love the pockets too. Well thought out design of this. Pretty impressed.
