  They work fine, but my 9yo was hoping for more sparkle from something called "extra-sparkle" :) The pencil barrel is more of a shimmery tone than a sparkly one, although the pocket clip does have some legit sparkle/glitter going on. She bought the pack with her own money and promptly started giving them away to her friends/siblings based on their favourite colours.
