- Reviewed in Canada on June 20, 2025I bought this USB-C to HDMI cable to connect my laptop to my 4K monitor, and overall, it鈥檚 been working really well. The picture quality is sharp, and I鈥檓 getting a smooth 4K@60Hz display without any noticeable lag. It was super easy to set up just plugged it in and it worked immediately. No drivers or extra apps needed.
The build quality also feels solid. The cable is thick, and the connectors look like they鈥檒l hold up over time. I like that the ends are aluminum instead of plastic, and the cable doesn鈥檛 feel flimsy like others I鈥檝e used.
One thing to be aware of is that it鈥檚 only one-way (USB-C to HDMI), so make sure your device supports video output through USB-C. I had to double-check that my phone supported DisplayPort Alt Mode. Also, it鈥檚 not the most flexible cable, which can make positioning tricky if you鈥檙e using it in tight spaces.
Still, the video performance and ease of use make it a great value. If you need a simple, reliable connection from your laptop or phone to a larger screen, this is a solid option.
