  I bought this unit for a 2019 Mazda 3. I will start by saying that the install and set up was a breeze. My phone would connect to this unit relatively quickly. The problem I had was with messaging through CarPlay. The notification would show up on the screen for the slightest fraction of a second. Even if I had my hand on the control knob, I could not press it down fast enough to get the message. So, I would have to go all the way into CarPlay on the screen, and scroll to messages that way. A total pain in the a**! It took me all of 10 minutes to decide to return this
