- Reviewed in Canada on June 23, 2025There鈥檚 a heat wave in southern Ontario, Canada at the moment, and this window unit is a 10/10. Previous to this, I had two Noma 9000 BTU portable ac units that do not compare to this one. It鈥檚 45 Celsius (113 F) outside and it is so comfortable in my apartment. Just the one unit in my bedroom is cooling my entire place. I cannot recommend this enough. It was easy to install and it鈥檚 not too loud. It offers a nice white noise sound which I like. It arrived within 2 days and wasn鈥檛 missing any pieces and arrived in perfect condition.The media could not be loaded.
Some things to consider:
- the settings are easy: off, low fan, low cool, high fan, high cool in that order going counter clockwise, but the grey background with blue writing is unbelievably difficult to see. I鈥檓 in my mid 30s and I鈥檓 near sighted and it is still so hard for me. If you have poor vision, just keep this in mind.
- make sure to measure the window with the product measurements. I鈥檝e seen some reviews that complain that it doesn鈥檛 fit, so make sure it fits your window.
- it鈥檚 advertised as a vertical opening window, but it works just fine for horizontal. I just put a piece of wood to close the gap at the top.
- it鈥檚 pretty efficient but my apartment is small. Make sure you calculate how many BTUs you need to cool your place.
