I bought this to fit on an existing Ortofon 2M Silver cartridge mounted on a Pro-ject 2Xperience SB turntable. The 2M Silver’s stylus is a direct match to the 2M Red - which is a great cartridge in its own right. The addition of the 2M Blue has completely opened up the sound of my record collection! Deeper bass, wider soundstage, and less “edginess” compared to the original. The difference is in the actual stylus tip, which is a nude elliptical vs. a simple elliptical. This cartridge shines with jazz, rock, and classical music. Very simple to replace (on an existing Ortofon cartridge). Highly recommended!
