- Reviewed in Canada on February 7, 2025This is a fantastic tester, easy to use, with clear instructions, well-made. I had a battery that I felt it was going after I let my headlights on for a couple of days. Had to jumpstart the car and drove for about 30 minutes to give it a chance to recharge. In the meanwhile, I received the car battery tester showed that I only had 2% power and the battery had to be replaced. Proceeded to charge the battery with the charger for 12 hours and retested the battery again. The result was that I had only achieved 52% of the charge and the cranking power was down from 430 CCA to 300 CCA, normal. I decided to have the battery replaced sin it was eight years old and do a lot of short driving. I am keeping this tester handy so that I can monitor the battery every three months and if because of my short driving needs to be toped off, I will be using the charger. This MP0515A 12V Car Battery Tester is a MUST-HAVE in every household that has a car. I highly recommend that you get one. The only thing that you have to know before testing the battery is what the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) does the battery have, which must be indicated on the battery, that is the only information that has to be entered, the rest is a choice.
