Perhaps it's Martin Scorcese (producer), but this is just a pile of fun to watch and to listen to.
All the more surprising is that the concert is from the 1970's, The Band's final concert (more or less). They were a raw band, terrible harmonies, not the most skilled guitar work (although the Clapton segment is cool, although perhaps not the best song selection), but they had something special, as their many fans will attest, and this footage captures it really well.
Some of the guests who appear are amazing and some less so.
Will you like very song? Be reasonable. There's plenty in here to keep you watching and re-watching.
I consider it an "essential-to-own" for a serious rock-and-roll home theatre aficionado.
