  Had a NVME 500GB drive to use as extra storage; connected this to a USB 2 - it worked okay. Using in a 3.1 port--super fast transfers! Build quality is decent and easy to remove/add a drive. Cables are decent length. the rubber grip around the device is removable. The board push-pop out type and slides back in without any effort.
