  As I was installing this software a pop-up indicated a tech would contact me to help with a now stalled installation. Sure enough my cell phone rings and I’m speaking with with a heavily accented rep( my first clue) who directs me to a site called “AweSun” which appears to be some kind of Anti-Virus service. Still thinking this is legit he informs me that somehow through this install that my brand new laptop has become infected with multiple viruses and I begin to smell a rat. It is of course a rouse to get you to buy a (fake?) anti-virus solution. I hung up and hope no damage had been done to my new Dell laptop. I discovered “Office Home & Student” had been properly installed and I did my own McCafee scan which showed no issues. What’s alarming is that this hack triggers during an install of a licensed product by a well known company. I’d report it to Microsoft if I could wade through the many layers of online layers!
