  I am relatively new to the world of meat (beyond chicken and fish), so I am still learning what flavour profiles I most enjoy and how to describe them. I tend to gravitate towards those with a deep and smoky taste with some spice/heat, but not too much that it overpowers the dish. I gave this “Texas all-purpose BBQ rub seasoning” from Stubb's a shot on a whim. I am glad I did! It’s packed with flavour but is not overpowering. You can taste the smokiness reminiscent of authentic barbeque. I wish there were a better balance of ‘sweet’ to ‘smoky’ but regardless, I still think it’s a tasty and versatile blend.
  
  I look forward to testing this during the summer when our BBQ and slow roast pit is out. Also, the bottle is huge. I do not expect to ever (well, “ever” is an exaggeration) run out of this, so I can better justify the $11.49 price point, which otherwise seemed steep for a basic rub.
