I鈥檝e had the stand for about a year now, it lives mostly clamped to my headboard or a wall mounted shelf by my bed. It鈥檚 held up my iPad 9.7 99% of the time perfectly without falling on my face, the 1% comes from not positioning it properly in the tablet clamp. I also use it for my kobo and it holds it perfectly for reading. The metal arm has held up amazingly, never had an issue with that. The bottom clamp thing is made of a sturdy looking plastic and it鈥檚 been mostly fine, but be careful of over tightening, I鈥檝e done it, heard a crack, didn鈥檛 see anything visible, but I鈥檓 more careful now. Overtime you have to retighten the knobby things on it, elsewise your iPad will start wilting like a plucked flower whilst watching Netflix. The rubber cushioning pads inside the tablet clamp move around over time, but it鈥檚 not a huge issue, I鈥檒l probably replace it with felt when the glue or whatever wears completely out.
It鈥檚 not perfect and there are a few things in the design that could be optimized better (like tilting your iPad upright and sideways can be a hassle if the adjusting knobs on the back are intersecting), and it would be nice if the arm was longer, but I鈥檝e tested out a few other stands and this one, especially for the price range has helped me accomplish exactly what I needed a tablet mount to do: be extra lazy.
