Customer Review

We have several in the family. They may be hard to get at the moment but the retail price averaged around 45~55 dollars.

They were purchased for dust and for raking leaves. These are good to protect against mold. Spring and Fall are allergy seasons and the filters in these masks can give you a lot of protection and relief.

We were surprised and very pleased to learn that the P100 Nuisance filters that come with the mask(s) actually protect against bacteria and viruses. It's even stated at GVS' website. Who knew it would come in handy given what we are currently facing?

    HOWEVER!!!!

Read carefully if you are ever thinking of using these in a Covid-19 world......

While the P100 filters 99.9 % particulates more than an N95 (95%) these masks are meant to be reused. Normally used for shop work and by those with allergies (airborne) in the rough seasons. Masks used in virus outbreaks are disposable. Repeat disposable. Use and toss. Given how much these cost, not a bright idea.

You can use this mask to aid in your protection against acquiring Covid-19 but you have to be very very VERY careful how you take it off and more importantly because it might have been contaminated on the outer surface or in the filters you CAN NOT use it the next day. Instead you are going to have to leave it in sunlight for at least a week before cleaning it's outer surfaces or inside surfaces with light soap and water. That means you get to use it once every 8 days. But that is better than nothing is it not? The respirator mask protects YOU from THEM. It does not protect the "Them" from You, So if you have the virus You can spread it to others wearing this mask as you exhale. Keep that in mind.

This mask can easily be adjusted, it is easy to clean (see the GVS videos) and it is very easy to breath wearing it. The very easy to breath part matters. It's not too heavy but it is not feather weight light either. The straps are okay, but much depends on the kind of head you have. With some practice and adjustment you can make this mask work for you. And yes if you are a glasses person you can keep your glasses on with this mask as it will not interfere with glasses.

If you do wear it in public places, be warned you might scare the daylights out of people as it does have a SiFi appearance. Be gentle and just tell people you have a serious breathing problem to reassure them. Let them know this is a respirator not a mask. Big difference.

You can also buy replacement filters for the masks, but they are not inexpensive. How to replace? See the GVS video.
