- Reviewed in Canada on December 19, 2021This is a very handy tool for planting bulbs. It's easy to use and makes fall bulb planting a joy instead of a chore. It's ingenious how they designed the hollow handle to take up, store and then reinstall soil plugs that you remove to make the holes for the bulbs. I found that the handle can store 5 soil plugs at a time. All you have to do to fill the holes after you put the bulbs in, is turn the tool over and allow the soil plugs to slide back out of the handle and into the hole again. Tamp the soil down and your work is done. For extra large bulbs, like some daffodils, you may have to make two holes side by side to fit them in.
