  We're very happy with the way our corded shark picks up hair and dirt on carpets and it never runs out of power. It's easy to assemble and very light. The dust bin is easy to empty. The hand piece is easily separated for storage and it will stand up on its own once separated. My only gripe is that the vacuum does not stand up when the hand piece is connected. We worried that the cord would get in the way but it is not a problem. We previously had a cordless vacuum which had high reviews, however, it didn't have the suction needed for carpets and ran out of power after 2 rooms. Batteries didn't last and were expensive to replace. And it stopped working after 2 years of light use. We decided to never get a cordless again.
