- Reviewed in Canada on December 27, 2024Received within 3 days. Bought it to replace another brand of automatic night light that stopped working. I mounted it on the front door (it is not being used inside) so time will tell whether it lasts. I used the 3M tape it came with, mounted without any issues after cleaning the old glue that remained. I bought it because it uses 3 AA batteries and not 3 AAA batteries. The previous one used 4 AA batteries.
I set it to 30s and it works just fine. I did not try the 45s setting. It lights up quite a bit more than the previous light, but it is a diffuse light, it does not direct the light in one direction only. It is also brighter than the previous light. It comes on when the car arrives onto the driveway close enough to the garage, about 6 ft or so. It only works when it is dark enough, it detects motion quite reliably and it goes off when it is finished timing - i.e. it is as described. I only have it a few days, so I don't know about the longevity.Report PermalinkHelpful
