  Had it installed by a master electrician who did a nice clean install. Got a permit and all that. Was surprised though he had never done one before, and asking around, no other licensed electricans said they had. Few people seem to know how useful these are for a relatively low cost.

  Works with a battery generator like EcoFlow, Anker, and other brands. Really useful, as you can run a high efficency furnace for a day or two (rationed) even with even a smaller capacity battery. A blower motor on a HE furnace draws very low amps. It is a much more convenient arrangement than pulling out a fuel based generator to run the furnace for short power outages.
