TL;DR This lamp is worth the price, it is well represented in the description and pictures and does not have any significant flaws.

I've had this lamp for a few months now, and I am very happy with it! It delivers on every promise it makes, and now that I have it, I realize how much I needed something like it. For context, I am a student and use this to illuminate my desktop setup at night when my room has no other lights on besides my computer screen, and this is my first desklight in a long time, so it is an entirely new feature added to my setup as opposed to an upgrade over an existing lamp.

I love this lamp, but there are definitely some things I wish were better. Mostly these are just mildly annoying and none of them is necessary a fundamental flaw in the design, so let me get them out of the way:

    - While I am doubtful that this will be an issue, I find the moving part flimsy for how long they are, sometimes I feel like if I'm not careful, the light will break by the hinges, but, if you aren't careless I don't think this will be a problem.

    - Because of how long the light is and how thin the stem is, the whole thing jiggles while I type, which used to drive me nuts every once in a while as micro movements like that make me feel a bit nauseated. I understand completely the benefits of these design decisions to the user, but unfortunately, this is the cost.

    - This lamp is pricy. But honestly it is worth the price for the value it provides me since not many products on the market can do what it does for the price.

    - As others pointed out, it is a bit short. While they absolutely do not misrepresent that (neither in the description nor images), I would have appreciated a couple more inches on the stem.

    - For the price, I would've appreciated more functions. It has the 30 minutes timer to turn off, but I think something like a repetitive on off cycle would have been more useful. I've never found myself in a situation where I wanted to turn the lamp of (especially not in 30 mins). But maybe it's useful to some people.

    - This is more of a nitpick, but there is tiny blue indicator LED that turns on on the controller is off, and I have 2 problems with it.
    1. I wish it indicated the on/off button instead of just the general position of the controller, I don't find figuring out where the controller is difficult, but it sometimes takes a couple tries to find the on/off switch.
    2. I wish it wasn't so bright. I sleep facing my desk and I am sensitive to light, and this LED is bright enough to be annoying at night.

    - I wish the brightness options were more granular or that the brightness level was continuous vs the 5 levels of brightness.

That's all for the stuff I find mildly annoying. Now I get to talk about the good things:

+ I love how much area this lamp covers and how bright it gets. My entire desktop is illuminated, and I can't think of a reason this needs to be brighter.

+ I like the different color options. Often I find myself switching between them when I get bored or too sleepy and I find that it helps me imagine that it is different times of the day or that the temperature is warmer or colder than ot actually is which manages to give me a placebo effect that boosts my stamina for a bit. This still works after having used this lamp for months now, so it might not be just the novelty effect that wears off soon.

+ The general looks. The light ifself looks good and the controller unit is pretty sleek and feels well buit and sturdy. I like the shape of the encoder and the big size of it. The controller also has a rubber bottom in case you need the it to stay in one place, I still have the sticker on it because I like to move the controller.

+ The controller unit being separate from the lamp is not only a nice perk. It is basically essential. I wasn't convinced that this is going to affect things until I set the lamp up. The thing about this style of lamp is that they are supposed to be tall, and lanky. This means that if the controller is attached to the head of the lamp as in similar products, then it will likely be uncomfortable to reach and will feel very finicky to control since you need to hold onto the head of the lamp to push the buttons making changing the brightness/mode undesirable. It is only for the fact that I can reach the controller unit as easily as a keyboard button that I utilize the full functionality of this lamp (aside from 30 minutes timer, seriously, why is that there?)

+ Being able to bend this is essential to me. I have a 3 monitor setup and a corner desk with the side monitors angled towards me. If it werent for the hinges, the light would have fallen behind the monitor and that makes it so much worse at lighting up the desk. Additionally, on occasion, I move the hinges so that the light distribution is different and that also helps with changing the mode a bit.

+ The cable is decently long. Connecting the lamp would have been an issue if it had a short cable, thankfully the power cable is more than 2 meters in length making it just long enogh to connect to the wall outlet.
