  After submerging it in boiling water several times and making a big mess of gray wax everywhere, I added a few coats of seasoning and was on my way to making waffles. A little heavy to manage, but works well once you get the hang of it. Be careful how much oil is in it because it can drip out the sides when you flip. The resulting waffles are very thin but still tasty.
