Filter was GE brand and identical to the one that came out of my fridge, unfortunately the filter was defective. I did return and get a full refund which was excellent. When I installed the filter it gave an error code on my fridge, when I put the old one back in the code cleared. Google troubleshooting tells me the filter was defective, which can happen. Giving 3 stars as the return process and refund process was quick and easy.
