It has everything needed to get started with maintaining and repairing various watch styles, including battery-operated and automatic models. While it won鈥檛 take you far into advanced repairs, it鈥檚 great for understanding the basics and even modifying certain brands like Seiko or Casio.
There鈥檚 room for improvement, but at this price point, it鈥檚 hard to beat. The kit is an affordable way to test the waters and decide if you want to invest in higher-quality tools later. For instance, the included watch band spring bars work, but they鈥檙e more of a temporary fix; I wouldn鈥檛 rely on them for the long term. The spring bar tool heads are prone to wear but come with extras for replacements. Similarly, the watch back removal tool feels a bit loose and may slip while removing case backs, though the kit includes protective films to minimize damage. For a more reliable experience, I鈥檇 recommend upgrading to a case back remover with a locking feature.
On the plus side, the kit is compact and easy to store. Its portability and affordability are why I chose to keep it, and I鈥檒l continue using it for basic watch servicing.
