  The restocking fee is overly strict. If you accidentally order the wrong filter size for any reason, you’re essentially out of luck. The combined cost of return shipping and the restocking fee is nearly the same as the cost of the filter itself. GeneralAire’s humidifier instructions were unclear about the model number, which led to the wrong filter size being ordered. I’m genuinely disappointed in the brand and its customer service for not being more understanding toward a customer who isn’t a handyman, yet insists on charging the restocking fee.
