If you like taller, narrower loaves than made in the 'normal' bread pans, or you're excited about doing the triple loaf 'tang zhong' bread recipes, you want these larger pans. The lid can be discarded for 'domed' top loaves, as well as quick breads, or you can slide the lids on for the classic pullman loaf/basic loaf bought at Cobbs brand bakeries.
Grease the pans and release of bread loaves is very good. The ridging gives loaves the 'professional' touch and browns nicely. Vertical corners of the pans are folded seams. Perfectionist cleaners will growl at cleaning crumb/grease bits out of them but the quality of the pans is worth the extra scrub with a bristle brush. I haven't tried them in a dishwasher and the maker doesn't recommend that. Quick breads work very well in these pans, browning evenly but not over darkening as any dark non-stick pans will hasten. Doesn't hurt to still use a strip of parchment paper in the bottom. Bit pricey compared to lesser quality metal pans but results are the payoff.
