  Bought one spring 2021 for my nephew. I lent him the one I already had (bought it 2-3 years ago), got it back and got him extra batteries while at it. I'm sure he'll use it very well. This charger can do single batteries, which most others on the market at this price point can't. Will also detect if it's dealing with wrong batteries. Lightweight, easy to use. Went straight for the model I had and I'm sure the other Eneloop chargers do just as well.
  Batteries come pre-charged, it's true they keep their charge for a very long time.
  The charger handles any NiMH batteries from other brands.
